Lies, Racism, Misinformation, and the Healthcare Debate

Over the past several months the national debate has been shaped into a debate over health care reform.  A bill that was intended to be pushed down the throat of the American people before the Congress went on their summer vacation, in order to avoid the American public from reading what was in the bill.

This tactic didn't work, and the Congress unsuccessfully passed a health care reform bill before their vacation, and the American people did in fact find out what was in at least one of the health care reform bills, HR3200.

As a result the American people finding out the shocking atrocities in HR3200 such as -
Section 1233
‘(F)(i) Subject to clause (ii), an explanation of orders regarding life sustaining treatment or similar orders, which shall include--
‘(I) the reasons why the development of such an order is beneficial to the individual and the individual’s family and the reasons why such an order should be updated periodically as the health of the individual changes;

This is part of the bill that Sarah Palin referred to as "death panels" in this Facebook posting. As a result of this posting Sarah Palin received a slew of personal attacks from the left such as -
In her short time on the public stage, we've come to expect this sort of thing from Governor Palin. But listen to other Republicans these days -- and if you can bear it, tune in to right-wing Hate Radio -- and you'll hear more of the same. - Robert Reich
as well as attacks on the right, Fox News, and talk radio.  The left denounced the "death panel" statement and claimed that there was no death panels in the House bill.

In a typical middle of the night, under the cover of darkness fashion the left then removed the death panels from the Senate bill, which allegedly didn't exist in the first place.
“On the Finance Committee, we are working very hard to avoid unintended consequences by methodically working through the complexities of all of these issues and policy options,” Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in a statement. “We dropped end-of-life provisions from consideration entirely because of te way they could be misinterpreted and implemented incorrectly.” 1
Since the American people found out about "death panels" and several other provisions of the several bills, throngs of everyday citizens, many of which never attended a political event in their lives flocked to town hall meetings to debate their local politicians and voice their concerns over the government takeover of health care reform.

The left then had to resort to a new tactic, straight from Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals"
RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." - Saul Alinsky
Since people hurt faster than organizations, it is easier for the left to attack the individuals attending the town hall meetings, and tea parties, and called them racist, AstroTurf, and not representative of true Americans.  Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi refered to those who oppose the health care overhaul as "AstroTurf" in the below clip.

These attacks from the left came daily, and although recently the left has adopted newer tactics such as large scale misinformation, the attacks of individuals continue. The mainstream media, which refused to accurately report on the tea-parties, or town halls, and until today completely ignored the ACORN controversy.

One of the largest tools the left is using is the race card. The POTUS surrounded himself with racists such as Van Jones, and Reverend Wright. Shown respectivly below expressing their racist views -

Barrack Obama has down-played his connections with the two above, Van Jones, the White House Green Jobs Czar, was fired in the typical middle of the night fashion, and Barrack Obama claimed he didn't know about Rev. Wrights views.

The left continuously uses the race card, even President Jimmy Carter has used the race card to explain those who dissaprove with Barrack Obama's policies -

By playing the race card the left attempts to shut down debate, since they cannot win on substantive arguments alone.

The latest dealing of the race card came after Rep. Joe Wilson yelled out "You Lie" during the POTUS's prime-time joint session of Congress address on health care reform. The left have used  two more Alinsky "Rules for Radical" rules by -
RULE 3: "Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy." -Alinsky
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."  - Alinsky
They have distracted from the real debate by calling Rep. Wilson a racist, and are using that are a talking point instead of the true issues. They have made him a target, and are attacking him in lieu of health care reform opponents since it is easier to call Rep. Wilson a racist, and almost impossible to disprove, than to substantively argue with the moderates and the right.

Since the lies and racist remarks are not significantly helping the POTUS advance his left-wing agenda he has resorted, as Karl Rove said on O'Reilly "Barack Obama is deliberately misleading the public".

The left will continue to use lies, racism, and misinformation to attempt to shape the health care debate, and advance their own far left-wing socialist agenda. Do not allow their tactics to distract you from the real issue. The left has proven that they cannot win on arguments, so long as we don't play their games, they will ultimately lose, the American people are smarter than the left  believes, and will see past the smoke and mirrors of the Obama administration, and ultimately see that the proposed health care bills, are truly this nations death panel.
